Motherhood Unplugged 2.0

Motherhood unplugged 2.0 is the first Global Summit of its kind, gathering influencers in health, parenting, tech, travel, policy change, business, politics, nutrition, finance and stripping back the highs and lows of motherhood.  It ends with 'what's the one thing you wish you knew before becoming a mother ?!?!'

Motherhood in this generation demands a change in support which is enabled globally by the power of influencers and community.

Mothers Unplugged Call to Action

As you know I spent 5 years of my life researching what makes the difference to success in Adulthood from Childhood.  I spent time with mums who continually told me their challenges.  I worked with parents on tools and created an app to save mums time.  It did not stop there.  I put out a call for help and at that time it was daunting.  I knew I could not change the status quo alone, but with other mothers we could be the change.  I reached out to Mums that inspire, that change other mothers lives in multiple ways.  That help mothers in this generation to deal with the challenges we face: jugging: work, child care, fourth trimester, health, purpose, happiness, fitness, child activities and everything we juggle in generation motherhood 2.0.   Only now I realise the full power of what's been created for mothers.

So WhatifIhadaPA have gathered inspiration, communications, content and offers from across the best influencers globally.  That has been condensed into a video summit that airs, and gifts you a 'raw' and 'unplugged' summit on motherhood, to help you define your own path with the power and inspiration of honest motherhood.  I knew time was precious so we shaped the format of the summit to be online video's that Mums could pick up in between naps, school runs and chores.  You will have the seeds to define your own path, for you and your family that shape your happiness, health and space in Motherhood 2.0.

The summit starts airing Sunday 5th November and members have access in their own time for 21 days, we know what it's like to be a on the go multi tasking mum.

Motherhood Unplugged Summit Mission

Motherhood is not the same today, as it was for our mums in the past.  Mothers face multiple challenges as we've pushed ourselves in education, equality and economies have changed, but policies, culture and infrastructure have not caught up.  I'm in country that has 16 weeks maternity, limited child care and raising two healthy kids, whilst living a life of passion and purpose.  Women represent 54% in tertiary education EU-28 (2017 EC) and 57% college graduate in the US (2015 Washington Post).  However, many western countries still have archaic policies that limit choices for mums, whether they choose to stay at home or work.  The old mindset no longer fits with todays reality.  There needs to be a mindset shift, we decided to unplug Motherhood.  Who better to start that shift then (us) mums?  If we want more moments of happiness, better health for ourselves and our family, and more space for me time or to do things with those we love; then it starts here and now.

The mission is research-led and does not stop with 1 person.  The call to action has been answered with key influencers making a difference to mothers health, happiness and time.

About Me & the 'Why'

I studied my doctorate, worked, raised (and still raising 2 little ones as well as spend time with the hubby).  Why? My doctorate identified a statistical significant correlation between success in adulthood and childhood (success also equaling the happiness of our kids in the future).  I found two things 1) a significant statistical correlation between parental attachment and success in adulthood.  2) after face to face workshops with Mums they repeatedly said the same thing, ‘I know but I just don’t have the time.’  It hit me; we are challenged as Mums in todays world.  My mission is to give Mums more time and this is more than just giving them tools, it is also mindset.  This global summit is a quantum mindset shift it's frankly a huge leap,  but to change the world for mothers, and play it forward to future generations; it demands going outside the comfort zone.
